COMMEMORATION OF 150TH BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OF MAHATMA GANDHI

” Peace is the most powerful weapon of mankind. It takes more courage to take a blow than to give one” – MAHATMA GANDHI.

Gandhi Jayanti was celebrated at Hope Hall Foundation School on 16th September 2018 with great pomp and show. The Principal Mr. Bhagat Singh with teachers and students of classes VI to XII witnessed the programme. A devotional ambience prevailed as the programme started with a bhajan “Raghupati Raghav Rajaram” enchanted by the audience with the school choir, later a powerpoint presentation depicted the life and works of Mahatma Gandhi.  To uphold the values of the Father of the Nation a skit was performed by the students of classes III to X. It was purely inspirational and encouraged the students to lead a simple life.

The reflection of Gandhiji and his values on peace was delivered by the students of class X in their speech. The witnesses on this special day renounce violence and completely devoted themselves to the principles of Mahatma Gandhi to mark it as the International Day of Non violence.

The programme concluded with the National Anthem and slogans by Bapu ‘Satya Ahimsa Parmo Dharma’.

Appreciations were extended to the students by the Principal for their commendable efforts to make the event successful.
