Talent Scout
A three day event Talent Scout was organized by the school from 25th -27th Aug, 2015 in the school premises to celebrate the 25th Year of the inception of the school. Thirteen leading schools of Delhi participated in this event. On the first day, the school hosted Collage making (IX & X) competitions and Poem Recitation competition for classes IV &V. The young talents tore and pasted to create historical buildings of India on mere sheets of paper. Their architectural excellence did not involve concrete and cement but dexterity of fingers and waste magazines and newspapers. On stage, little artistes dressed up in various attires and donning different props rendered poems with ease and excellence that called for wide applause. The next two days was a medley of oratorical as well as artistic splendour. The students of classes VI-VIII transformed waste material into icons of love and beauty, flowers to be bunched into a bouquet, while young speakers of classes XI&XII paid a rich tribute to our former late President Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam by articulating his speeches on stage. The third and the final day brought a battle of wits on stage lending their views on whether ‘Reading is an emerging trend OR a dying interest’. The students of classes IX and X had a great time debating on stage. Mr. Bhagat Singh, the school Principal welcomed the guests of honour, Dr. O P Sagar, Asst. Commissioner (Retd), Dr. Satyender Runsel, Assistant Director and Dr.Ajai Kumar, Director Professor Department of Anaesthesiology. Mrs. Lata Rana, Vice-Principal welcomed the guests with her warm and gracious words. The participants were awarded prizes and participation certificates on the close of each day.
